Country Pumpkins 2012

We made our annual trip out to Caledonia to visit the pumpkin patch with our friends.  Now that Will is in kindergarten, he didn't get to go with us and it seemed so weird at first not having him there.  (This whole new kindergarten thing is still kinda tough for Mommy okay?!) I have such vivid memories of taking Will each year since he was a baby. 

But this year, I got a chance to really enjoy some time with Andrew and form some memories with him now that he is old enough to get into the experience.  He was so relaxed and such fun to be around.  Sometimes it is nice to just get time with the boys individually because together they sort of run as a pack, but seperately I get to enjoy each of their unique personalities.  And don't worry about Will.  He is going with his school later this month. :)

We made it home with three pumpkins.  One for Will, one for Andrew, and a tiny one for Baby June.  Now to come up with some creative carvings.  Stay tuned...

Will-isms

Here are a few things that Will has said lately, that are too funny not to document. 

"What's my nerd name?"  He meant to say nickname.  He almost got it right.

"Ooo yeah!  Let's listen to the cowboy singers."  translation...country music

"Kate and Andrew need to stay away from that.  It might be really fast sand."  translation...quick-sand

When June sneezed three times, Will said "oooo that's a triple sneeze.  One more would have been a home run."

I just love this little boy and the way his silly little mind works. 

Whatley Beach Trip 2012

We just got back from our annual beach vacation with the Whatley family to Fort Morgan, AL. It was so fun and so nice to just get out of town for a while. We drove down on Friday afternoon to Pensacola after we picked Will up from school. We were packed in like sardines with all of our "stuff." As Gigi put it, we are just a step away from needing a car-top carrier. :) Either that or we really need to learn to condense what we bring. My guess is that we will end up with a car top carrier before the latter happens. Nevertheless, we made our way down and surprisingly enough only had to stop twice. The first stop was before we made it to Meridian though and at that point we felt like we were in for a loooong trip. But, June's crazy nursing schedule and our little boys' bladders cooperated so we actually got to Pensacola in about 6 hours. That's a personal record for this family!
We stayed up late chatting and catching up with Kelly and Brett, but still were up bright and early to head over to Fort Morgan on Saturday.
Saturday was mostly spent getting settled in and playing at the beach house. I love watching these kids play together. Every time they are around each other they pick up right where they left off.

Sunday, we woke up to pouring down rain. The kids watched from the porch at first, but then Gigi came up with the great idea of playing in the rain.

After bathtime, the kids all got to put on their traditional Halloween shirts.

On Monday, the rain was gone, but some serious wind took its place. We "roughed" it at the beach for a little while.

Then, we all went to the pool for a bit.

That afternoon we made stickies and watched some cartoons. Luke really got into the stickies. :)

Tuesday, we got up and took our family group pictures and then headed to Foley outlet before making our way back home to Stark-vegas!

Oh, how I love these 3 cuties!

It was a really nice break and we are so grateful to Gigi and Jabo for sharing their vacation with us. I'm already looking forward to next year!

3 Months

Our little June bug is 3 months old now! At 3 months old, not much has changed from last month. She is still a good eater, not a great sleeper, and still no sign of any real "schedule" happening. But, she is one happy baby, so we are all happy! I guess you could say that she is already ruling the roost, but that's the way it should be for the only girl right?! :)

This month, she has been baptised, tailgated, gone to soccer games/practice for Will, and gone on her first vacation to the beach!

And just look at that dimple. The girl couldn't get any cuter!

Probably the biggest accomplishment for the month: She is taking a pacifier!! Anyone who knew our little boys as babies knows how much we love the pacifier in this house. So, Dan and I were really happy when June finally got on board with the paci idea.
