Little Man is 18 Months

Andrew turned 18 months old this month. In some ways if feels like the time has flown by and in other ways, it feels like he has been a part of our family forever. We went for his checkup today and his stats are:
Weight: 25 lb 2 oz (50%)
Height: 32 3/4" (50%)
Will was the exact same height at this age and about 1 1/2 lbs heavier. Speaking of being just like Will, check out these pictures:
Can you tell who is who?

Dan and I have been hearing a lot of people, recently, say how they don't think the boys favor one another. We both just chuckle to ourselves because we can't get over how much Andrew looks like Will when he was the same age. I think Will has just changed so much that some peoople don't realize how much they resemble each other. Now, looks is the only place they are alike. As far as personalities go, the two could not be more different!

Cutie in Costume No. 1!!

This is a very busy and very fun week for us here in Starkville. Lots of dressing up and lots of photo oppurtunities. Today was Will's Halloween Party at school and the first of four times he will dress as a "bad guy dragon" this week!

We finally got around to carving our pumpkins last night. The boys had a great time! Will had been excited about carving pumpkins since early that morning, so holding him off until after dinner was a challenge.


Andrew, of course, tried to eat his pumpkin. He actually took a few bites. Apparently raw pumpkin is pretty tasty.

Country Pumpkins

Will had a field trip to the pumpkin patch today! He woke up this morning, raring to go and super excited about the trip. He hardly ate his breakfast and asked me about 10 times if it was time to go yet...all before 7:40 am!!
Here are some of the kids from Will's school. All 4 of Mrs. Daisy's classes went on the field trip together, so it was about 41 kids! Plus siblings! Plus parents! We had quite the crowd.



The kids loaded up in a big yellow school bus...yes, a BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS!! My precios little angel, riding 40 minutes out of town on a bus! Will was thrilled...Mommy was freaking out! But, it was fine and he loved it.

At the patch, the kids played on the rope swings.

Andrew wasn't very cooperative in taking any good pictures. He only got a cat nap in the car ride over, so he was a little sleepy.

Will and Zane were rarely seen apart from one another all day. I love that Will has a good friend in his class!

When it was time to go home, I tried to get Will to ride home with me in the car. But, he insisted that he had to ride back to school on the bus. You think he liked riding the bus? So, I decided to let him get the full experience and he rode home on the bus. I followed closely behind! :)

The Beach

We had our annual beach vacation with Dan's family a couple of weeks ago. It was wonderful! We spent 5 days in Fort Morgan, soaking up some sun and enjoying each other's company. The weather was beautiful and still warm enough to get in the pool and the ocean. We fit so much into a week and yet, it was a very relaxing trip!

Will and Andrew were so happy to spend the week with Kate. It was really funny how inseparable Will and Kate were most of the week.

And then Will demolished it! (That's where the fun is right?)

Will was a little intimidated by the waves and the ocean. He was not interested in getting in the water...at all! Nor did he want anyone else to get in the waves. However, with a little coercion, Jabo was able to get him closer...then touching the water...and eventually walking on the sand-bar.

But only for a minute! Then he was very ready to head back to land.

Andrew, on the other hand, needed a little more fear.

He walked chest high in the waves and squealed with delight when the waves came in and almost covered him! Yikes! What am I going to do with him?

One day, while Gigi, Kelly, Kate, Andrew, and I shopped at the outlet, Will got to play golf with Jabo and Dan! Will was so excited to spend the day with the "big mans!"

Dan said that if Jabo took a drink of water, Will took a drink. If Jabo took off his sunglasses, so did Will. He loves being one of the guys.
