Happy Earth Day!

Today was one of the best days in a long time! Dan, Will, and I went to the Birmingham zoo for the day. Being Earth day, the zoo had a special free admission to the park! It was soooo crowded and we even got there early at 10:00. I think everyone in Bham and the surrounding areas was there. But it was so much fun and the crowds weren't too bad once we made it into the park and out of the parking lot. I think Dan and I had as much fun as Will walking around looking at all of the animals. It is a beautiful zoo and we got lots and lots of great pictures!
First, Will and Dan rode the carousel. Will liked this carousel the best of any he has been on because it didn't go too fast! :) Then, there was a petting zoo area where he got to be close to the goats and sheep. He wasn't too interested in touching one though (which Dan and I were pretty pleased with)!






The lions and tigers were so big and beautiful. Will had a little concern on his face while veiwing them! I don't think he thought that glass was enough of a barrier between him and such a huge creature!






Will crashed around 1:30 and so he missed the last few exhibits. :) haha He was really good through the whole trip and when he got tired, he just put his paci in and fell asleep. What a great day!

Aunt Tam and Uncle Randy Babysit

On Saturday, Dan and I did a little work around the house. We fixed a few door hinges, touched up the paint on the walls and baseboards, and got our house all ready to sell!! :) Will, of course, loved watching Dan work and wanted to help out. It was so much fun watching Dan show Will how to hold the tools and let him "play work" with him! He is such a good dad!!




Then, Saturday night, Tamra and Randy came over to babysit while Dan and I went out to dinner with Molly, Kirk, Emily Kay, and our friend, Kristin from Jackson. Will warmed up to Tamra and Randy right away and had a blast hanging out with them. He built legos with Randy and fell asleep on Aunt Tam's lap! There is nothing like having family around to watch after Will!! It is much easier as a parent to leave him for the evening knowing he is in such good hands.

We are moving!!

So, for those of you who don't already know, we are moving to Starkville!! Dan got a job working for Mississippi State in the facilities management department. He will be a project manager for the construction projects on campus. We are soooo excited and I think the job is going to really suit Dan! He is also going to be able to get his professional engineering license while working under engineers there at State. wahoo! We have our house on the market in Birmingham and will be basically moving to Starkville for Dan to start work on April 28th. Kelly and Brett have so graciously opened up their house to us, so Will and I will get to spend a lot of time in Starkville too! One of my biggest worries about moving was the time apart Dan and I would have to spend from each other and now thanks to Kelly and Brett, we don't have to worry about that. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity!!! We love you guys! On the other end, we are really going to miss Birmingham! We have all gotten our roots set here and so it is going to be tough to leave, but the opportunities in Starkville are so wonderful that I know it is the right move for us. Wish us all the best and keep us in your prayers as we try to sell our house and make our way over to Starkvegas!

ps..sorry no new pictures. We have been so busy lately that my camera has gotten some dust on it. I will try to do better! :)

pss..Will had his 15 month checkup on Monday and he is really growing! He is 32 1/2 inches long and weighs 24 lbs 3 oz. He is at the top of the growth chart on length and head circumference and in the 75th percentile on weight. Yeah! He is perfectly healthy and on a great track!

Nonnie and Papaw come for a visit

Nonnie and Papaw came to visit last weekend. It was great to see them and hard to believe it had been over a month since we last saw them! On Sunday afternoon, Dan was outside mowing the grass, and Will was watching him every minute out the window! Will loves his dad and thinks everything Dan does is the coolest thing! I don't know if you can tell or not, but in the third picture, Will is waving at Dan. Waving is one of his newest tricks!









Another trick is making this silly face. He made this face the first time to Nonnie after eating something that was hot and we all laughed so much that he continued to do it over and over! What a ham!!

Super Bulldog Weekend

Here are some pictures from the Super Bulldog Weekend baseball tournament. Will acted sooo good at the game!! He is already a baseball fan, just like his dad!! :) The baseball jersey he is wearing is from Uncle Patrick!

Easter

Easter weekend, we went to Gigi and Jabo's house. All of the family came into town so it was a really fun, special weekend. Will sort of got into the whole Easter thing. He, of course, did not understood too much, but he LOVED the candy and all the goodies that came with the holiday!


This is a good shot of the outfit I bought for him for Easter. I bought it at a consignment sale and had not tried it on him yet, and obviously, it was a bit too small. He wore it through Mass, but afterwards, we had to unbutton the snaps so he could move a little better! Oh well, it sure was cute!!







He got some bubbles in his Easter basket and so Gigi and I played around in the backyard with him and the bubbles. It really hit me when he was walking around and playing, how big he has gotten. He is no longer a little baby! :(




The Monday after Easter, MOMS club had an Easter egg hunt. It was SOOO cold outside, so we just threw the eggs out there and let the kiddies pick them up, snapped a few pictures, then we were done. It lasted all of 25 minutes!! Once again, Will did not understand picking up the eggs and putting them in the basket, but he liked shaking them and throwing them around. Will is the second one from the right in the bottom picture.
