Happy Dad's Day

First of all, happy father's day to all of our dads out there...Jabo, Papaw, and, of course, Dan-O! I hope you all had a great day!
We spent our day taking Will to see his first movie at the theater. We went to see Toy Story 3. Will is a big fan of Toy Story and the characters, so we figured this would be a good one to try him at the theater. And of course, he LOVED it! He sat still the whole time and really got into the movie. Even Andrew did well. I was fully prepared to leave the theater with him as needed, but I only had to step out one time in the whole 2 hours we were there. Not too shabby!! The popcorn and drinks helped significantly! :)
It was a really special day and one I know I will always remember!

Will spent the rest of the day pretending to be Buzz Lightyear. He raced around the house saying "to infinity and beyond." So cute!!
And here is a picture that captures just how much fun he had. He fell asleep on the couch before we could even get him into bed!



Dan, I hope you know how much you are loved and how much you mean to this family. You are an AMAZING dad to our little boys. I don't think anyone could be a better role model. Your dedication to work, our family, and your faith is truly admirable. Even after a long day at work and school(which has been a lot lately), your energy and time you give to our family is infinite and never tiring. There is no doubt in my mind that you were put on this earth to be a dad! You have a true gift.
We are so proud of you and proud to be your wife and children! We love you!

MSU Dan

Our library hosts a "local celebrity reader" program every Thursday during the summer. It is really a fun thing and a chance for kids (and adults) to meet some local celebrities here in Starkville. This week happened to be Dan Mullen, MSU football coach. He was super nice and really great with all of the kids' questions. I wanted to get a picture of him with the boys...but that required me being in the picture too so here it is!

And a shot of "MSU Dan" as Will calls him with all the kiddies. (Will would not get in this picture without me, so it is just a picture of everyone else's kids.) Oh well!

I have several other events that I would like to post about, but our computer died the other day. Huge bummer!! So, I am limited to using Dan's work computer or Kelly's computer whenever I get a chance. So, to see pictures from our fun Memorial Day weekend in Hartselle go to Kelly's blog. We hope to be getting a new computer soon, but until then, the blog might get a little stale. Sorry!

Oh, and last but not least! Andrew is WALKING!! It is official. He has been taking steps since Memorial Day weekend, but this weekend, he took off! We are so proud of our little boy! He is a true toddler now. :)
