Photo Shoot

Here are just a few of the beautiful pictures that Gigi took of the boys while she was here this weekend. We were attempting to get a good shot of Andrew for a birth announcement and I believe we were successful! :) Now the only problem is deciding on which one to use!




And of course, we had to get some shots of Will too! He was actually posing and telling Gigi to get her camera to take a picture of him. What a kid!

Memorial Day

We had a great weekend with lots of family and friends in town. Gigi and Jabo came into town on Friday. They went to the Grandparents are Great class at OCH on Saturday morning and then the rest of the weekend was spent on the golf course and grilling out! We had a lot to celebrate this weekend. Kelly's birthday is next week and WE SOLD OUR HOUSE in Birmingham! We closed on May 15th. It is such a great feeling to have the house sold. We can now get on with life here in Starkville. A million thanks to everyone who helped us with selling the house and moving here to Starkville. It has been a wonderful transition for us and a great year despite taking as long as it did to sell.
Then, on Monday, Molly and Matthew Kirk drove up for the day to meet Andrew and spend the holiday with us. It was so much fun watching Will and Emily Kay play together. We filled up the kiddie pool and that entertained them most of the afternoon. Check out the Kirks' blog for even more cute pics of the kids. Then, Will went back with Gigi, Jabo, and Clay to spend a few days in Hartselle. It is so hard to let my little boy go without me, but I know he will have a big time and I am excited for him to spend a few days with the grandparents! :)

I just love these two little boys!! Will is such a great big brother and surprises me constantly with how calm and sweet he is to the baby. Yesterday, he told me he wanted to "read to baby." So, he picked out a book and then I propped Andrew up beside him. Normally a cute moment like this would not last long enough for me to get my camera ready, but it did today! How sweet!

What a week?!

Nonnie and Papaw came to visit us on Friday, May 8th. It was Papaw's first time to meet Andrew and we really enjoyed spending the day with them. Thanks for coming!

Then, on Saturday, we went to Zane's birthday. Happy 2nd Birthday, Zane! It was a tractor party and Will loved going on the hay ride! I especially had a good time getting out of the house and seeing people again! :)

And the next week is where things got crazy...we all got a stomach virus! YUCK! It all started with Dan getting sick the Thursday before. We thought that he must of just had food poisoning because non of us got sick....until Wednesday! I woke up sick and got worse through the day. Thankfully, my mom was able to drive up from Jackson to help us out and there is no way we would have made it without her! Will woke up Wednesday night throwing up in his crib! Poor baby! He was sooo upset and had no idea why he felt so bad. Dan and Nonnie had to pretty much take care of Will because I was still feeling awful! It was tough! Luckily, Andrew never really got sick. So, Nonnie stayed for the rest of the week and we were all pretty much better by the weekend. Now, poor Nonnie is sick at home with the virus! SOOO sorry Nonnie! Hope you feel better soon.
On a funnier note, Will has a new obsession. Anyone who knows Will well enough knows that he gets stuck on a subject or toy for a week or so and it is hard to get him off task. He has been obsessed with tractors, books, baseball, or his ABC toy in the past, but this weeked he became thrilled with horse racing. We watched the Preakness on Saturday afternoon, and he loved watching the "horses go fast." This morning, he woke up asking to watch the "fast horsies" again. Well, we had to do a search on our tv for horse racing and for those of you who were unaware, there is a channel totally devoted to horse racing on Directv. I was shocked too, but very happy because it finally got Will settled down! :)

And last but not least....Andrew is 1 month old today! I can't believe he has been here for a month already! He is such a joy and we are getting to know him more and more everyday.

Graduation and Gigi's Visit

On Saturday, Patrick graduated from MSU. Gigi, Jabo, Nanny, and Papa came in town for the big event. Will and Dan went to the graduation and then Andrew and I met everyone at Old Venice for lunch afterwards. Congratulations Patrick!!








Then, Gigi stayed here with us for a few days after gradaution. It was SOOOOO wonderful having her here. All of our laundry is done now, we have food in our pantry again, and our house is clean! Thank you sooooo much, Gigi. You are awesome!! Will got to run errands to get out of the house and he played so hard! He had a lot of fun with Gigi!

Andrew is doing really good. We are still trying to kick the jaundice and get him to start gaining weight, but he is looking better everyday. I have gotten to spend the past few days focused on him alone, which has been great! He is such a sweet baby!
