Easter weekend

Good Friday:
We participated in an inter-denominational Stations of the Cross through town on Friday morning. It was so cool to see so many different people from different churches taking part in such a prayer filled and special service that was so well attended. We hope that this becomes a tradition that we can be a part of each year.

Then that afternoon, we went to lunch and bowl at the bowling alley. Now this is not typically something we would do on a Good Friday, but we had promised Will a while back that if he had a week with no x's on his behavior chart at school we would go. And that just so happened to fall on this week. We are so proud of him for making a change in school and really becoming the well behaved, awesome kid we all knew he could be. He was never a "problem kid" but just had to figure out how to harness his energy and control his busy, and yes, sometimes, bossy little self. That can be a tall order for a 7 yr old, but we are really proud of the little man he is becoming.

We had a ton of fun bowling too! And speaking of the little man he is becoming, Andrew just might have a future as a professional bowler. Ha! The kid really is good!
This turned out to be the perfect way to spend the day.

Easter Sunday: Everyone was up bright and early to check out what the Easter bunny brought. We hunted eggs, ate lots of candy from the Easter baskets, cooked breakfast and looked up to see that it was only 7:35 am!!! So we had LOTS of time before church at 11:30. Will our children ever sleep past 7:00? I'm starting to think not! And probably the better question, shouldn't I have become a morning person by now? Because I DEFINITELY am not.

Mass was wonderful and so beautiful and meaningful!
Afterwards, the Knights of Columbus hosting and really nice Easter egg hunt for the kiddos.

We came back home and had a delicious lunch and took it easy for the rest of the day.
We also dyed eggs, went to a birthday party and did a little playing and working outside somewhere in the weekend but I don't have pictures of any of that unfortunately.
But, it truly was a perfect Easter weekend and I am as thankful as ever for - faith, family, and friends! Thanks be to God!
