It is hard to believe that little Juney has been in our lives for 2 years now. What a whirlwind it has been! But a really fun, busy, happy whirlwind. To celebrate our girl's special day, we had a week's worth of parties...as any 2 year should, right? On her actual birthday, we had a playdate at the splash pad with some of her cute little friends.
The party continued on Friday with the grandparents coming into town for the 4th of July and Will's baseball tournament. We weren't sure what the weekend's schedule would look like because of the baseball tounrmanent that Will's all star team was in, so we had to be pretty flexible with June's birthday party. (Poor girl! I'm afraid this might be her plight in life. Always working around some sporting event.) Anyway, Will's team won early on Friday and therefor it freed up our Friday evening. So, we came back to the house and had a yummy barbecue dinner and then sung happy birthday to our baby girl.
Afterward, we decked ourselves out in red, white, and blue and then headed out to the sportsplex to join in the 4th of July celebration.
The boys had to bring ball and gloves, of course.
Too bad, our birthday girl, who is normally afraid of NOTHING, was terrified of the fireoworks. She discovered that it was safer to watch with one eye closed. Ha!
It was such a great week and the perfect way to celebrate our sweet baby turning 2! Thanks to everyone who came and helped in making it such a fun and special birthday.
At her 2 yr old check-up this week, she weighed 21 lb( <1%) and was 32"(9%). We were just proud that she finally crossed over that 20 lb mark. And it only took her 2 years! ;)
