While we were off on our wonderful vacation, our kids were having their own vacation at Camp Wha-key! It was a week FILLED with so many fun activities that Gigi and Jabo planned. I don't even think our kids noticed we were gone! ;)
Monday:
Every morning they had bible story time
and time to share their A-OK (act of kindness) bracelets.
Gigi came up with an awesome idea to reward a bracelet for an act of kindness that each of the kids showed. How smart is that?!
And they were so proud of their accomplishments and loved reliving the good deeds each morning.
Will lost his front tooth on the very first day!
They helped Jabo "work" on his boat...
and went for lots of walks and bike/scooter rides.
June still says "Jabo pull MY wagon" all the time.
Monday afternoon was color run time! It looks like they had a blast!!
We were able to factime with them a few times while we were away. Seeing these cute little faces was a treat!
Monday night, Jabo and Patrick took the boys to a Huntsville Stars game. The game ended in a walk off and fireworks. It doesn't get much better than that for these guys!
Tuesday:
Lunch at Jabo's pond
(This one below might be my favorite picture of the week!)
Tuesday evening they went to have dinner at Nanny and Papa's house.
Wednesday:
Loaded up and ready to go to the Botanical Gardens in Huntsville
Thursday:
Started with a trip over to Grandmother and Pappa's house
Then of course, a little baseball in the backyard.
And then a water balloon fight!!
The kids also helped Jabo with his tomato garden.
(Ok, this picture below might actually be my favorite. Juney is hauling that heavy bucket of tomatoes like a trooper!)
Whew! That was hard work! :)
The boys set up a tent and had a camp out in the backyard! Fun!
And what campout is complete without smores?!
Friday:
Breakfast on the patio
And more baseball!
Then it was off to the splash pad.
I love this sequence! We have the almost exact pictures of Andrew and Kate doing the same thing when they were babes.
Next, they went to the Recycling Center to turn in some aluminum cans. (So, not only was this camp fun, it was educational as well. I love it!!)
And headed to DQ for a treat with the money they collected from the cans.
That night, Gigi made hot dog spaghetti for dinner.
And the night ended with pallets and a movie!
June staked claim to this chair (along with just about anything else she came into contact with, I think) and termed it "June's chair!"
As is evidence from the photos, our kids had the best week ever! They are so fortunate to have AMAZING grandparents who went to such lengths to make this a fun week for them.
Gigi and Jabo, words can not even express how much this means to me and Dan. We knew our kids would be in great hands with you while we were on our trip, but you went above and beyond to make eveything so special! Thanks for continuing to be so wonderful! We love you!!
