Christmas in Birmingham

Happy New Year!! I have posted some pictures of Christmas weekend at our house! It was really nice to be at home on Christmas and spend some family time together. We definetly missed our families on the actual day, but thankfully, we were able to see all of them around the holiday too! That way we were able to enjoy the best of both worlds! We made a trip to Jackson on the 14th for "Christmas" weekend with the Armstrong clan. It was great to see everyone and especially Erin who we had not seen since MAY!! Then we went to Hartselle on the weekend after Christmas...New Years weekend. And that was also a fun weekend spending time with the Whatley side!! I will post some pictures later from those two weekends, once I get all the pictures from the grandparents. Ok...so to narrate the Christmas pictures:

These pictures are from Christmas Eve. Since we live in Alabama, we figured this might be the closest Will ever comes to seeing snow, so we took full advantage of the "frost." haha He had a ball crawling around all bundled up and he looked so darn cute in his snowsuit from Dan's family friends in Maine!

We went to mass on Christmas Eve. Afterward, we tried to take some pictures in front of the manger scene, but it was a very popular spot for EVERYONE in the church to take pictures. Also, Will could not stop looking at the statues or the children gathered around them. So, here are the pictures we got. We were able to get a nice family shot using the timer on our camera back at home that night.
Dan then read The Night Before Christmas to us before it was time for Will to go the bed and wait for Santa.

Santa came the next morning and left Will a brand new toy basket filled with toy food and a puppy stuffed animal. As you can see, his favorite thing was the basket itself which he liked to be put inside of!! Santa didn't even forget about ole Roxie...He brought her a new collar and a chew bone. Everyone had a very merry Christmas!!
