We made a trip down to Jackson to visit Nonnie and Papaw last weekend.
Nonnie and I had a really great Mother's day and it was so special getting to share the day together.
We went to Mass, then to lunch, and then to see Amma. While at the nursing home, we also ran into my uncle Frank and aunt Katrina and their family, so we got a rare group shot of the family! I think it really meant a lot to Amma having all of us there at once. It brought tears to her eyes. She especially teared up when Will and Andrew came into the room. :) She just couldn't get over how big they have gotten and their sweet little faces staring back at her....and I can't blame her. Their sweet baby faces bring tears to my eyes often.
Mother's day is such a wonderful day for me and it has very little to do with gifts or a little extra pampering, although that can be really fun too! :) But more so, it is a day for me to reflect on the greatest joy I have ever known...being a mom! I love my two boys more than I can even put into words and I feel like I am fulfilling my purpose in life each day I spend with them. They make life fun and it is just so amazing to watch the world through their eyes! And with my wonderful, loving husband right there beside me through it all, I don't think I could not ask for anything more! I am truly blessed!
Happy (belated) Mother's day to all the moms out there!
