Andrew had a Christmas school program. Nonnie, Dan, June, and I all went to see our little boy sing. It was absolutely adorable.
We finally caught up with Santa this year at the women's basketball game of all places!
Then on my birthday weekend, we headed to Jackson to visit Nonnie and Papaw.
The kids, Nonnie, and I made gingerbread houses.
June enjoyed her first pop tart on "Christmas" morning while we were there.
This cute little trio was spoiled rotten with lots of really nice gifts from Nonnie and Papaw.
We made it back to Starkville and went to Christmas Eve mass at our church. (A funny little anecdote that I know I will forget if I don't write it down: June has been going to the nursery for the past few months during mass, because, well, she's June-active, loud, and not too happy about sitting still, so church is not really good for anyone when she is with us in the sanctuary. Well, being Christmas Eve, the regular nursery was not open so little Juney joined us. Dan had the first reading at mass, and as he is getting going with the reading and the church is all quiet and still, June starts yelling out: "Daddy! Daddy!" I couldn't get her out of the church fast enough before everyone was chuckling, including Fr. Lenin. Dan kept it together amazingly enough. Next, Fr. Lenin invited all the children to come around the alter for the homily. Well, of course, June thought she should go, but we knew how that would turn out-I'm picturing the cloth being ripped from the alter, the nativity being ransacked, etc. So, we kept her with us, and she let EVERYONE know how she felt about that. For the second time in mass, Fr. Lenin, chuckled and acknowledged our little busy girl. This pretty much sums up June-she makes her presence in this world known! Needless to say, she we spent the remainder of mass with her in the cry room.)
Princess Juney had a fun Christmas! Santa brought dress up clothes and a doll.
The boys got MSU football uniforms which they immediately tried out to see how well they could tackle in them.
And acted out a few more football moves. Hehe! :)
It was a wonderful Christmas and I always enjoy having time at our house to relax, play, and just be together as our little family of 5!
