Will:
He is so stinkin smart!
*He can count to 100 without help.
*He got a leap pad for his birthday and has already conquered several of the levels on the "math" game. He can even do the simple subtraction and addition.
*He is so interested in all of the birds in our backyard, that he asked if we could go to the library to check out a bird book to learn more about them.
*He is sooooo excited about kindergarten in the fall and I can actually see him getting more and more ready for it now. 6 months ago, I was a little freaked out about the thought of him going to school. I still feel he has a ways to go emotionally, but I have faith that this too will come.
He is a BIG kid. He is 45 1/4 inches tall (almost 4 feet!) and 46 lbs! That puts him in the 95th percentile for height and 90th for weight. He has really shot up lately!
He is really funny, but not in a "trying to be funny" way. He says the silliest things when he is trying to act like he knows what he's talking about. And has my mannerisms down pat....which looks pretty funny on a 5 year old boy.
He LOVES MSU basketball, and knows most of the players' names and numbers.
He can be the most generous, kind brother out there. He can also be the biggest bully and so antagonistic toward Andrew. The good news is that he is usually the nicest when he thinks no one is looking or when he is not being told to do so.
Andrew:
He is absolutely beautiful inside and out! Just look at him!
He has the kindest disposition and it takes a lot to get his feathers ruffled...but if he does get upset, look out. Temper, temper!
He has a really great imagination, especially for his age. I think having an older brother has helped tremendously, but this boy can get into character and fully play along with all of Will's ideas.
He likes to pick out his clothes and can come up with a decently coordinated outfit. We call him Mr. GQ! And after he gets dressed, he always runs to the floor length mirror to check his look. Ha!
He is still such a baby, which secretly I really don't mind. While I want him to reach all of his fundamental milestones(and he has), I am just not pushing him to grow up too fast. I know that he will grow up soon enough, so I am cherishing him just as he is. Sure, it would be nice to get rid of the pacifier at night and to be potty-trained...but once again, I have faith it will happen right when it needs to.
I loooove that he is Mommy's boy. Will has always been so independent that it is nice to feel very needed and very loved by Andrew. The other day, he was so cranky in the afternoon and I was trying to get dinner made in the kitchen. He laid down on the floor at my feet and whined until I stopped, sat down, and held him. He wasn't hungry or tired, just needed some contact time. I was extremely aggravated at the time, but once I sat down with him, I realized it was exactly what he and I both needed at that moment. After 20 minutes or so, he got up and when on with his day.
These boys are the light of my life and I am thankful that I get to spend my days at home with them. Sometimes the days get long and I am dying for some adult conversation, but I wouldn't trade this job for a million bucks!

Not even a million bucks, huh? I might have to think over that one. :)
